Frequently Asked Questions

  • When are menus released?
    Menus are released every Wednesday before noon.
  • Can I make changes to the menu?
    Unfortunately at this time, we are not accepting major changes to the menu. We do, however, try to develop our menus around our clients dietary restrictions and preferences. Please let us know if there are any strong dietary restrictions and always disclose if you have an allergy!
  • How do you handle allergies or strong dietary preferences?
    Please note, Just Like Mom prepares all meals in a kitchen where peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, shellfish, eggs and wheat are present. While we take steps to minimize the risk of cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any of our products are safe to consume for people with such allergies. Always disclose if you have an allergy! By purchasing and consuming meals from Just Like Mom, LLC, you acknowledge and agree that you are eating at your own risk. While we take great care to prepare all meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients, we cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions, food intolerances, or other health issues that may arise from consuming our products. It is your responsibility to review the ingredients in each meal, and if you have any concerns, please contact us prior to placing an order. By proceeding with your purchase, you confirm that you understand and accept this liability disclaimer.
  • Do I have to place my order by a certain day/time for next week?
    Unless you already have a subscription for the week, all orders must placed by the Friday (3pm) before Sundays delivery. Example: If Sunday, January 5th is the first delivery day, you must place your order by 3pm on January 3rd, otherwise your order will count for the week of January 12th.
  • What do I do with empty food containers?
    We believe in limiting waste, that's why we deliver our meals in glass containers each week! We'll pick up any empty containers on both Sunday afternoon and Wednesday at delivery - just leave the cleaned dishes in the delivery bag outside and we'll swing by and grab it!
  • Damaged or broken containers?
    Should your label fall off - not to worry, that 's totally fine! If you accidently break or severely damage a container, unfortunately we'll have to charge you $15/ container to replace it.
  • When do I receive my order?
    All orders will be delivered both on Sundays and Wednesdays of each week. You will receive the first 3 meals + any kids meal on Sundays and the remaining 1 meal on Wednesdays. You should expect both deliveries to be anywhere between 3pm and 6pm. We will send you a courtesy text when we're on our way!
  • Where do you deliver?
    We deliver to parts of Bethesda, DC, Potomac, Chevy Chase, and Kensington. Please refer to delivery map when in checkout. If you are out of range, we are happy to arrange a pick up.
